Claybourn Walters Company is committed to responsible stewardship of the environment.  We meet, and often exceed all applicable environmental laws and regulations.  But we don't stop there.  We respect all requirements, whether mandated by law or not, to minimize the impact of our operations on the environment.  All of our harvesting operations are conducting under very strict guidelines and regulations designed to protect the environment.

What are "Best Management Practices"?

Best Management Practices (BMPs) for forestry operations (silviculture) represents the minimum standards necessary for protecting and maintaining the water quality as well as some wildlife habitat values while conducting forestry activities.  BMPs were designed for:

bulletlandowners
bulletforesters
bullettimber buyers
bulletloggers
bulletsite preparation and reforestation contractors
bulletanyone involved with forestry operations

Claybourn Walters Company uses BMPs as a minimum guideline in our activities.  We know that careful forest management ensures tree harvesting is done responsibly, balancing growth with removal.
